TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his French counterpart Jean‑Yves Le Drian held a phone conversation on the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers Tue. night. During the Tuesday conversation, which was the second phone call between the two sides within the past few days, Zarif and Le Drian also exchanged views on regional issues.
The telephone conversation took place days after US President Donald Trump said he would decertify Iran's compliance and let the Congress decide about re-imposing sanctions on Iran.
Zarif had also held a teleconference with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono on Monday, during which Kono expressed full support for Iran's nuclear deal and Zarif voiced his appreciation toward Japan's stance on the agreement. Zarif added that Iran has complied with the agreement and will continue to do so.
