TEHRAN, October 17 - Mourning ceremony held across Europe. In the Islamic center of The Hague, Netherlands numerous Muslims from across the country took part. Similar ceremonies were held in Malmo, Sweden as well as in Belgium to commemorate Imam Sajjad (as).

Imam Sajjad (as) mourning ceremony held in Europe

TEHRANYoung Journalists Club (YJC) - A mourning ceremony for the martyrdom anniversary of 4th Shia Imam, Sajjad ibn-Hussain (as) was held in the Islamic center of The Hague, Netherlands in which numerous Muslims from across the country took part.

The ceremony began with reciting some Quranic verses followed by performing congregational evening prayer.

In the next part of the event, a young Shia Muslim presented some of the facts about Imam Sajjad's (as) life and his virtues; he also quoted some of the holy Imam's narrations in Dutch language.

The keynote speaker of the event was Shia cleric Hujjat al-Islam Sa'bari who delivered his speech on existing Islamic prayers which were recited by Imam Sajjad (as); he presented some moral lessons derived from these prayers.

The participants of the ceremony later gave ear to eulogies on Imam Sajjad's hardships in life and mourned for him.

Similar ceremonies were held in Malmo, Sweden as well as in Belgium to commemorate Imam Sajjad (as).
