TEHRAN, October 16 - An analyst believes the United States is the only country that supports dismantling of the Iranian nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying President Donald Trump's recent speech on the agreement has isolated the US.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “So what is very important is to say it is not enough to have statements coming out of the European Union or its foreign ministers. I admire [EU foreign policy chief Federica] Mogherini’s speech both before Trump’s speech and what she said … [but] I think we need to speak with larger letters and talk about political changes, we also need to involve the NATO allies,” Jan Oberg, founder of transnational.org told Press TV in an interview on Monday.
“I mean if there is anyone who can persuade the United States to behave themselves and follow international law, it is their friends, it is not their adversaries. NATO has a huge responsibility together with the EU to do more than talking but also simply threatening political initiatives and distancing themselves from the US,” he added.
