TEHRAN, October 6 - Iranian UN Ambassador Gholam-Ali Khoshrou said imposing ‘unfair’ sanctions runs counter to the international law and is a discriminatory move and against the multilateral trade system.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Speaking in a session in the second commission of the UN general Assembly (the economic and financial commission), he stressed importance of developing countries’ achievement of sustainable development and stressed boosting trade multilateral system.
Khoshrou then highlighted the role of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), saying that developing trade cooperation to achieve durable development is one of the main goals of ECO 2025 landscape for boosting regional cooperation.
He also stressed the role of the UN and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and sad the organization is playing an important role to speed up preparing developing countries to join World Trade Organization.
He also welcomed boosting trade cooperation between Iran and other countries.
