TEHRAN, September 29 - Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari stressed boosting bilateral trade balance between the two countries.

Iran stresses boosting trade balance with ViennaTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Boosting trade balance between the two countries should be highlighted. The approach of research and development and valuation of technology exchanges should replace the traditional view of selling goods. Research and joint development should be given special importance,” he said in a meeting with Austrian Ambassador to Iran Friedrich Stift.

He also highlighted Iran-Austria good political and economic ties.

The two sides stressed using potential of small and medium-sized businesses and modern methods of management and production technologies.

Austrian large companies’ cooperation with Iranian ones in exploration, extraction and processing with foreign finance were also discussed by the two sides.

He also said establishing an Iranian bank in Austria to facilitate banking exchanges and using Vienna municipality’s experiences, as one of world smart cities, with Tehran were also discussed.

Iran-Austria 9th joint commission meeting is scheduled to be held in Vienna early 2018.
