TEHRAN, September 28 - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi in a meeting with Cyprus’s president chief of staff stressed removing banking barriers between the two countries.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - They also stressed boosting bilateral ties in economic, cultural, political and educational areas.
During the meeting, Sarmadi, stressed EU’s practical support for Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal, saying that, “Collective reaction by the EU could prove effective to confront remarks of US officials.”
He also said removing banking problems between Iran and Cyprus could pave the way for strengthening mutual economic relations between Iran and Cyprus.
“On the other hand, Cyprus as an EU member could cause better understanding of the EU from extremism and terrorism.”
The cyprus’s official, for his part, voiced support for the nuclear deal.
He also said his country is resolute to expand bilateral economic and political ties with Iran, saying that visit of Cyprus’s officials to Iran shows his country’s will to develop mutual cooperation with Iran.
