TEHRAN, September 27 - The top general in the U.S. military said that Iran is complying with nuclear deal and that the agreement has achieved its intended results.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “The briefings i have received indicate that iran is adhering to its [plan of action] obligations,” but gen. joseph dunford, the chairman of the joint chief of staff, wrote in answers to policy questions in advance of his senate armed services committee confirmation hearing to serve a second term as chairman of the joint chiefs.
dunford also said it would “make sense to him” that withdrawing from the deal would have ripple effects on the north korea crisis.
“it makes sense to me that our holding up agreements that we have signed, unless there’s a material breach, would have an impact on others’ willingness to sign agreements,” dunford said in response to reed.
“we watch every day, and this is even in addition to the [joint comprehensive plan of action] issue, just our relationship with iran,” he said.
