TEHRAN, September 24 - Russian Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov said the company is in talks with Iran for cooperation in Abteymour and Mansouri oil fields in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Talks have been held with Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh on October 3 in Moscow,” he said.
He added, “We are willing to cooperate in oil fields of Abteymour and Mansouri in Khuzestan Province.”
Alekperov continued that Lukoil is ready to deliver a plan of developing Abteymour oil field to National Iranian Oil Company this year.
He said that the two sides have a very slight disagreement on the volume of oil extract, ensuring that the issue would be settled in October and early November.
“We will cooperate in Iranian oil and gas project along with two other companies from east and west.”
He then declined to name the companies.
