TEHRAN, September 18 - An Iranian movie ‘Ava’ by Sadaf Foroughi received FIPRESCI prize in the 40th Toronto International Film Festival.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Ava is a 2017 Iranian-Canadian drama film directed by Sadaf Foroughi. It was screened in the Discovery section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the FIPRESCI Discovery Prize and received an honourable mention for the Toronto International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film.
The film narrates story of a 17-year old daughter named Ava who makes a decision affecting her life as well as lives of her family and friends.
