Imports from U.S. drops 51% in 7 months: ASA

TEHRAN, September 10 - Iran’s imports from the United States dropped 51 percent during the first seven months of 2017 and reached $48.1 million, compared to the same period in the preceding year.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -According to the latest report released by American Statistical Association (ASA), Iran-U.S. trade transactions in the said seven-month-period registered a 37-percent-decrease and fell to $87.3 million in comparison with the same time in 2016 when the figure stood at $139.8 million.

The U.S. exported $48.1 million of goods to Iran from January to July, 2017, while the figure was $97.7 million in the same time span in the previous year.

Iran exported $39.2 million of goods to the U.S. in the first seven months of 2017, registering a seven-percent-drop the previous $42.1 million in the same time span in the previous year.
