TEHRAN, September 5 - Afghanistan Senate Spokesman slammed the international community, supporters of Human Rights, and ICO for their keeping silent against massacring Muslims in Myanmar.
Fazl Hadi Moslemyar called for Afghanistan government’s condemnation of murdering Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar and voice its protest to the UN and the international community.
Afghanistan’s Senate announced that the international community must show its clear positioning upon the matter in question and takes measure to castigate Myanmar’s government for the genocide of the Muslims in the country.
The genocide is taking place while such Islamic countries as Saudi Arabia are silent. The silence has been followed by numerous criticisms.
Rohingya Muslims, a community of more than a million people, have been denied citizenship and access to basic rights as the Buddhist-majority country of Myanmar views them as intruders from neighboring Bangladesh. The Rohingya reject claims about their origins and say their ancestors have lived in the area for decades.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Buddhist extremists have been waging communal violence in Rakhine since 2012. Hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands forced from their homes as a result.
