TEHRAN, August 29 - Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari-Jahromi said he is going to develop start-up jobs in Iran.

Minister: Iran after developing start-up businessTEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “Supplying infrastructure for developing employment is at the top of our agenda, which would come true by backing start-up businesses,” Azari Jahromi said on Tuesday.

He further said the country’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technology is after removing obstacles to start-up businesses through settling issues, including tax, insurance, investment and copyright.

The Islamic Republic of Iran with the population of more than 80 million is experiencing an unemployment rate of nearly 13 percent in 2017.

Azari Jahromi continued that the 11th administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran has committed itself under the Sixth Development Plan to provide 950,000 job opportunities every year from which 100,000 jobs should be created in the IT field.”

He then said that the development of the information technology in Iran opens up an opportunity for the youth, who are residing abroad, to bring their creativity and ideas into their own country.
