Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Foreign Minister has blasted Senator John McCain visit to Syria as illegal.
Speaking in a news
conference at the sidelines of the Tehran International Conference on Syria,
Aliakbar Salehi said "It is against international conventions for someone to
enter another country with no permission.”
"They enter Syria with no authorization and then they assert
that there must be rules and conventions and territorial integrity must be
considered,” he said.
The Foreign Minister of Iran asserted "McCain violated all
these principals by going to Syria. They do all this only with the power of
their media and their logic of power and physicality; and then they say we are the
law. If it is so then it is the law of the jungle.”
Salehi said that Iran strongly condemns such behavior and
added "Such behavior can be seen frequently with American officials. It will
imply to the world that the US is a bullying country. That is something in
contrast with the current situations of the world where things are moving
towards law and international rules.”
