TEHRAN, August 23 - In the wake of the US’s hostile policies against the people of Venezuela and the US president’s recent threats of military attack to this Latin American country and the silence of Human Rights defenders in the world, a group of Iranian revolutionary students visited the Venezuela’s ambassador in Tehran to announce their unity with the Venezuelan government and nation.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - These students also issued a statement in support of Venezuelan government and nation. They said in the statement “The spirit of libertarianism, fighting Imperialism and the common message risen from common aims and values have brought Iranian and Venezuelan nations such close to each other that the geographical distance has been merged in the very closeness”.
Stressing fight against the Global Arrogance and supporting the world’s oppressed the students also noted “as a group of revolutionary students of Tehran universities,on behalf of all of Iranian students, with unshakable support of the oppressed of the universe in their rightful fight against Arrogance and Imperialism in any point of the world condemn the US hostile policies against Venezuelan people and government”.
They asserted that Iranian students are aware of the purpose of the US’s pressures and threats to the Venezuela's government and nation, and also know well that these pressures and threats serve the continuation of the US’s greedy policies in Latin America to stop the Venezuelan nation and government’s resistance and inspiring awakening.
On Friday, August 11, the US President Donal Trump threatened Venezuela with military option.
