Tehran, YJC. The President says that he is still hopeful that Mashaei will be qualified for candidacy.
Asked about the result of his
negotiations on the qualification of Esfandyar Rahim Mashaei, Ahmadinejad said "We
are still
hopeful for God’s mercy,” Fars reports.
The report goes on that Ahmadinejad just kept silent when asked whether the government will endorse Jalili in the upcoming elections.
News sources say that nowhere has Ahmadinejad declared his support for Jalili.
The presidential office has lately made an announcement denying relations between the participation of some cabinet members in candidates’ electoral programs and presidential intentions to endorse a special candidate.
