Tehran, YJC. The Egyptian columnist says that no changes would be made in Iran’s foreign policy with a new President.
Fahmi
Huwaidi said Monday in interview with Fars "The Iranian presidential elections
will not change the country’s foreign policy, because the candidates’ stances
on foreign policy are much similar and they only have disagreements in domestic
policy.”
He asserted
"After the elections, Iran’s foreign policy and its dealings with regional
countries will not alter.”
"The
candidates’ foreign policies are much similar to that of the country’s President
Ahmadinejad. Therefore, after these elections we are to witness the same
foreign policy as that of Ahmadinejad,” Huwaidi continued.
He further
said "Iran’s foreign policy is defined by its Leader. Therefore, with a change
of President no change would come to the country’s foreign policy. But the
country’s domestic circumstances will be different and are much likely to
change.”
