Tehran, YJC. Member of Majlis National Security Committee says offers to Jalili to step down in favor of Qalibaf are fair.
Evaz
Heidarpour said in interview with Mehr "There are many qualities needed for
candidacy.”
Referring
to Jalili’s record, he said "Mr. Jalili’s top position at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs was that of the deputy. After that he was made Secretary of the
High Council for National Security.”
He considered
the offer made to Jalili to resign a very suitable one, adding "Jalili’s
foremost experience is his talks with the Six Powers, whereas Mr. Qalibaf has
done great services in the war as well as in high military positions and civil
organizations such as the Municipality
of Tehran.”
He stated
"Some have recommended Mr. Jalili to step down in favor of Qalibaf, which I think
is fair. He must see the realities more closely, because polls too do not favor
him while Qalibaf is a big favor.”
