Tehran, YJC. The Principalist candidate says that inflation will be one of his main concerns if elected President.
Speaking
in a meeting at the Students’ Club of the University of Tehran, Aliakbar
Velayati said "One of my administration’s emergency actions will be to control
prices and contain inflation.”
A John
Hopkins University graduate in pediatrics, Velayati said "First we must find
ways to quickly heal the problems without trying to diagnose their causes, like
when someone has a fever, where we must reduce it with a wet towel and then try
to find the reason for it.”
He then
stated that the government has gone astray in carrying out the Subsidies Reform
Plan and added "One of my plans is to make at least two-three free health
programs operational.”
Providing
comments on the nuclear program, he said "The nuclear energy is a very
important issue that deals with around 500 scientific and technological fields.
If we bow down to pressures by the US and its allies, the pressures wont stop. Rather
they will progress step by step to get where they want.”
"For
example, if we stop the nuclear energy, in the next step they will say you must
follow Western human rights as well. And then they will move to weaponry
facilities and will say we must limit your canons and tanks. Therefore it would
be wrong to step back,” he asserted.
