TEHRAN, July 25, YJC - An Iranian lawmaker warned US of violating Iran’s nuclear deal.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “The United States will have to accept consequences of any violation of the deal, given Iran’s nuclear deal has been supported and approved by the IAEA, UNSC and the EU,” Iranian National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Spokesman Hossein Naghavi Hosseini said.
He further noted that based on the agreement, the IAEA was to take on inspections on Iran’s nuclear activities to see if Iran fulfils the obligations, which so far has been confirmed by the agency.”
“According to the agency’s announcement, Iran has so far respected the deal, and accordingly, any action or announcement by any of P5+1 members which is in contradiction with the agreement will be invalid.”
He said that the US as a P5+1 member has to abide by the deal already approved by the IAEA, UN and EU and other countries, including themselves.
The US can freely withdraw from the deal, but it needs to consider the aftermath as well, the Iranian lawmaker said.
He noted that those countries signed the nuclear deal, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran will certainly react to violation of nuclear deal, an example of which could be Iran’s recent single-urgency plan on American hostility.
