UN Secretary General on the 2nd anniversary of GCPOA agreement conclusion asked the UN country members to keep their support of the deal in future.
On the second anniversary of reaching a Join Comprehensive Plan Of Action agreement (known as JCPOA) between Iran and 5+1 countries, UN Secretary General Antony Guteress issued a statement.
In the statement Guteress noted that the deal, confirmed in UN Security Council 2231 Resolution, was a great achievement in prohibiting nuclear weapons, a deal that facilitates solving the most complicated problems through negotiation. He acknowledged that JCPOA is the best way to ensure the peacefulness of Iran’s nuclear plan.
He further appreciated Iran’s full commitment to the deal and stressed that the sustained commitment of the two parties is essential for the validity and success of the deal in the long-run.
Guteress said also in his statement called on all of the UN country members to continue their support of the deal.
