TEHRAN, July 3, YJC - Iran’s copper production would reach 400.000 tons through balanced sustainable development in National Iranian Copper Industries Co, said the company’s Managing Director Ahmad Moradalizadeh.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The company has exported $1.2 billion copper over the last Iranian calendar year, (March 20, 2016-March 20, 2017), he noted.
Over 85 percent of equipment and parts needed for maintaining copper mines are produced locally, he said.
The official added Iran spends 22 million euros for buying the remaining 15 percent of the required equipment from abroad.
