Iran, China Navies to hold military exercise

TEHRAN, June 17, YJC - Iranian Navy will hold joint military exercise with Chinese warships in Hormoz Strait tomorrow.
 

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - China’s Navy flotilla, berthed on June 15 at Banarabbas, Iran, will hold a joint military exercise in Islamic Republic’s waters tomorrow on June 18.

The joint exercise will be held at "Hormoz Strait” where the two countries will exhibit their military power and share their experiences.

China’s flotilla comprises,guided-missile destroyer Chang Chun (DDG-150), guided-missile frigate Jin Zhou (FFG-532), and Type 903 replenishment ship Chao Hu (890).

The Chinese flotilla has decked in Iran port city of Bandarabbas to consolidate the friendly relations between the two countries and to improve marine mutual marine interactions of the two countries’ Navy.

Earlier and for the first time in the history of Iran and China’s marine relationships, Iranian Navy "24 flotilla” had been sent to China, in March 2012 welcomed by the country’s Navy officials.

Previously in September 2014, also China’s Navy 17th flotilla had berthed at "Emamat I” zone of Iran’s Navy to hold a joint exercise wit Iran.
