TEHRAN, June 11, YJC - Iranian deputy FM Seyyed Abbas Araghchi says the US’s approving sanction bills against Iran is a violation of JCPOA deal.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - With respect to the US senate bill of sanctions against Iran and whether it violates the JCPOA deal, Iranian deputy FM said "according to articles 26 and 29 in JCPOA the Americans are are obliged to implement the deal with a ‘good will’ and in a ‘constructive environment’ and avoid any act influencing the ‘successful implementation’ of JCPOA”.
"we believe that the movements either by the US former government in the past one year and half or by the new US government is against the very articles” he added.
Araghchi said that even if the bill gained approval in the US Congress, it will be evaluated in line with the very articles. He also noted "we observe the changes closely and investigate the new law the US Congress is working on”.
"This is evident that approving such a bill in such an atmosphere is very shameful and is indicative of [the US] bewilderment and wrong policies due to inappropriate perceptions toward the issues of the region” Araghchi said referring to the US official’s claims about Iran’s support of terrorism as well as their approving such a bill.
