TEHRAN, June 8, YJC - Tehran Police Chief Hossein Sajedi-Nia said the country’s security forces have arrested a woman and 5 other men suspected of involving in a terrorist attack at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum on Wednesday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "Two terrorists stormed the mausoleum of Late Imam Khomeini at 10:10 am local time, identified and killed due to vigilance of the security forces deployed there.”
He said one of the terrorists blew himself up and the second one was targeted and killed by the police forces.
He further added that a woman as well as 5 other men suspected of the attack were arrested as well.
Sajedi-Nia reiterated that security conditions are completely under control in Tehran.
Earlier on Wednesday, gunmen stormed Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) and the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in two coordinated attacks.
Twelve people were killed and over 40 others wounded in the assaults.
