TEHRAN, June 3, YJC - Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement’s second-in-command, Sheikh Naim Qassem, warned the Israeli regime against any move against the Arab country, saying that Tel Aviv is not able to confront the Hezbollah fighters.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Speaking at a ceremony in Beirut on Friday to mark the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sheikh Naim Qassem rejected the possibility of another Israeli war on Lebanon and said current conditions do not allow the regime to wage the war.
However, in the event of war, Israel has to be afraid of its consequences, the cleric said.
"If any war is imposed upon us, we will have no fear about it,” he said, adding that the Israelis are too weak to confront the Arab country.
"The era of defeats has passed and the era of victories (for the anti-Israeli resistance front) has arrived,” Sheikh Qassem stated.
In recent years, the concept of resistance has attracted a great deal of attention across the Muslim world.
It refers mainly to the courage and fortitude shown by the people of Palestine, who have withstood Israel’s crimes for years.
