TEHRAN, June 2, YJC - Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati said relations between Iran and Persian Gulf Cooperation Council states is growing.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran with Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and other regional countries is good and growing. Iran is making efforts to boost the relations,” he told reporters.
"There are many ways to improve relations between Iran and regional states. Iran enjoys many commonalities with the countries and a little effort would make the relations in the best possible form.”
The Iranian envoy said that Iran attaches great importance to establishing strong relations with its neighbors, adding, the massive potential should be enjoyed.
Earlier in March, Qatari Foreign
Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani reiterated that Iran and (Persian) Gulf
Cooperation Council member states can have friendly ties.
Iran-Qatar relations are brotherly
and friendly, he said in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad
Zarif in Doha.
"When it comes to relations
between regional countries and Iran, we have always believed that friendly ties
between Iran and (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council are possible and this is
the same approach adopted by Qatari government.”
Zarif, for his part, stressed
boosting mutual cooperation between Iran and Qatar, especially in economic
sector, investment and banking.
