Tehran, YJC. Jajim is a textile bedding and covering made traditionally in Iran.
Jajim has been woven in Iran for many generations. Originally
an essential part of the Iranian nomadic household accessories, jajim is a
textile made of wool and used for bedding as well as cover and packing for quilts,
blankets, and mattresses by people who have preserved their ancestral
life-style.
In recent years the art of weaving jajim has grown in fame
as a national heritage and handicraft. The textile has found new usage in
making purses and similar products.
