Tehran, YJC. A strategic affairs analyst has said that the IRGC has helped the Syrian army as a consultant.

Dr. Masoud Asadollahi appeared on the national TV to provide reports on the role of the IRGC in the Syrian crisis.

He said "In less than tow months the Syrian army made a lot of victories over the opposing forces to impress the terrorist supporters. This caused the Israeli air raid on Syria. If Israel could be sure that the Syrian opposition would win it would have never made a military interference. In fact the Israeli air raid was made in the wake of victories by the Syrian army over the opposition.”

He also said that 62 percent of the Americans disapprove of US military intervention in Syria, adding "The US intends, by what it has done in Syria lately, to provide situations in which Obama could dictate his views on Putin in his next visit.”

"We are experiencing a mini world war in Syria,” Asadollahi believed, "The IRGC taught civil war to the Syrian army. We conveyed our experience of the Basij to Syria. Our interests dictate that we defend the Syrian system, because in Syria we are defending our own land.”
