Tehran, YJC. The son of Ayatollah Hashemi believes that the elections will not run in full throttle unless the elite come to the stage.

Mohsen Hashemi said in interview with Nasim Online "How political groups
enter the stage is now quite clear. The Supreme Leader said that all groups must
come and take part. The country is looking forward to a political breakthrough.
We can see that the number of candidates has increased. Even groups who agree
on important issues and have much in common in their principles have different candidates,
because they differ in some spheres. The rivalry of the lions, though, as the saying
goes, has yet to come.”
The son of Ayatollah Hashemi added "As my uncle, Director of hajaqa
[Ayatollah Hashemi]’s office, has said, breakthrough is made by the elite. If we
want a real breakthrough, the competition must be one between the lions, but
that does not seem to be the case so far; and it is not clear what action the
Guardian Council will take in this regard. That is why one cannot say whether the
political breakthrough will happen or not.”
"A breakthrough is made by lions,
the elite, who are not currently on the stage. Therefore the breakthrough may
not occur. As for those who are currently on the stage we must see how many of
them get qualification and how many do not before we could say a breakthrough
will happen or the other way round,” he further said.
