TEHRAN, YJC. Mohsen Rezaei has said that religion and politics will not intermingle in his would-be administration.
Speaking at a meeting with
members of Tehran City Council, Rezaei believed that the central Iranian government
is unable to
administer the country, adding "Reconstructions must be carried
out in the central government. It must get rid of non-political phenomena such
as arts, culture, sports, and religion. The government and politics must not
interfere with these things. Ethics and religion must not become politicized,
because that has originated all current confrontations and disagreements.”
According to Asr-e-Iran news website Secretary of the Expediency Council said that a central
government, economic federalism, and local administrations will be three basic features
of his would-be administrations and added that using these three ideas, the
country will be able to move toward a desirable government.
