Tehran, YJC. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly ruled out reports that Quds Corps Commander General Qassem Soleimani is injured.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein
Amir Abdollahian on Thursday refuted reports that the chief Iranian military
figure has been injured while on advisory mission to the neighboring Iraq.
"Qasem Soleimani is safe and sound and such a report is
false,' said Abdollahian in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency
on Thursday.
He rejected reports by some foreign media about general
Soleimani having been injured, adding that the Islamic Republic will continue
its support for states which have chosen to fight terrorism.
