Tehran, YJC. Expediency Discernment Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei has said that Iran will disregard its nuclear deal with the P5+1 if the West does not follow its commitments.

Rezaei who was meeting the ambassador of Netherlands to Tehran on Sunday said that despite unjust Western sanctions, the Iranian government tried to safeguard the rights of the nation based on a cooperative approach.

"But it seems that the domineering system does not understand the diplomatic language to talk with Iran. So, I would like to ask you to tell them that if by the end of the [Iranian] year the sanctions are not relinquished, we will break them,” Rezaei further asserted.

Despite the Western parties’ guarantee that no further sanctions would be imposed, they have broken the deal in a number of occasions by putting sanctions on natural or legal Iranian entities, the former IRGC chief noted, adding "This shows that the party which doesn’t understand the language of cooperation and negotiation is the West, not the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

He stated that the West would not be able to resolve issued related to the Iranian nuclear case unless it approaches the issue with a scientific outlook and avoids political bias.
