Tehran, YJC. Velayati says it would only complicate things if ultra-regional states intervened in the affairs of Iraq.

Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Discernment Council in meeting with a delegation from Germany said "If foreign governments do not interfere with the domestic affairs of the regional countries things would be solved more easily.”

Aliakbar Velayati stated "It is a pity that there have been terrorist attacks in Iraq lately. As a neighbor to Iraq, Iran is worried about the situations there.”

He further added "It has happened following the elections in Iraq and Syria and I believe that if foreign governments refrained from interfering with the domestic affairs of the regional countries things would be solved more easily.”
