Tehran, YJC. Dehqan has announced his support for nuclear negotiations and asked for the removal of sanctions that rest on “flimsy excuses”.

Iran’s Minister of Defense Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan who was speaking at the 3rd international security conference in Moscow, Russia on Friday talked for the removal of international sanctions against his country.

He said "According to the strategic doctrines of the Islamic Republic of Iran the production and use of mass destruction weapons, nuclear and chemical, is considered haram and therefore rejected.”

"But defense power based on common weapons to create effective deterrence against any transgressor that is equipped with such weapons and intends to assault the Islamic Republic of Iran is a certain priority,” he added.

Dehqan further said "I believe that the unbiased oversight to and dealing with mass destruction weapons all over the world, and the Middle East in particular, would be a guarantee for peace to reign and for international regulations to turn effective among the members of the global community. Therefore, I hereby announce the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military forces’ comprehensive support of the nuclear talks with the Six Majors, and ask for the revocation of the unjust sanctions and the annulment of the UN Security Council resolutions which were composed against my country on flimsy excuses.”

"The United States and its Western allies interfering in the internal affairs of other countries threatens global peace and security,” stated Iran’s Minister of Defense.
