Govt. bans import of goods with domestic kind

Tehran, YJC. The administrative cabinet has signed a list of merchandize to be banned from import in line with policies to help domestic production.

The governmental cabinet convened on Wednesday headed by president Rouhani. One of the main points about the session was to close the doors to foreign products with domestic rivals.

By removing the import of such products the government seeks to give vitality and credit to the country’s production section.

The cabinet members agreed to a draft to ban a list of products from being imported to the country which have domestic counterparts.

The meeting also addressed some other issues including the public signup for cash subsidies, expressing gratefulness to those who resigned from receiving the cash.

This week and last the government made a call for all Iranians in need for a cash subsidies worth Rls45,000 _about $15_ a month.

Out of nearly 80 million Iranians 73 million went online and stated on a website the government had launched for the job that they would like to receive the amount.
