Tehran, YJC. Italy’s representative to the EU Parliament says patience is the key to solving problems.

Barbara Matera, EU Parliament member in interview with Fars news agency pointed to EU concerns with regard to Iran and the US.

"The EU financial crisis has been under the influence of the United States economy in the recent years,” she stated, adding "It is important to focus on objectives such as rabid rehabilitation and attempts to retake the EU to the center of the global competition.”

Pointing to Italy-Iran relations she said "Compared to what happened previously, Iran-Italy relations have improved recently. Currently business cooperation is on and inside Iran there are some big, well-known Italian companies operating.”

"Our Foreign Minister’s trip to Iran in December showed that diplomatic relations are highly important and that attempts are initiated to find the way to remove the obstacles that exist between the two countries,” she maintained.

Matera added "I believe that to reach agreement on the nuclear case during the negotiations, the primary thing to observe is patience. It is important to keep in mind Iran’s readiness to limit the power to enrich uranium. In return for that, the reduction of the imposed sanctions and the continuation of the talks are another important step in order to improve international relations.”
