Tehran, YJC. Noori Hamedani has said the West cannot pretend advocacy for human rights.

Fars news agency reports from Qom that on Wednesday noon ayatollah Hossein Noori Hamedani met ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the Head of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.

Hamedani said "The US and EU shed tears over the death of Sharon, yet they accuse us of violating human rights.”

He further stated "Saudi Arabia and the Wahhabist have spent so much money to prevent the Shiite from publically celebrating their religious occasions such as the Pond of Khumm.”

"They have mustered all their facilities to suppress the Shiite,” he asserted, adding "The Takfiri and Salafi currents are a great disaster for the Islamic world.”

He further stated "In the central Saudi Arabia big money has been invested to fight Shiism. Their entire objective is to fight the Shiite culture.”
