Tehran, YJC. While in Ahvaz, Rouhani has paid a visit to the Army units.

Hassan Rouhani who is on a trip to Khuzestan since Tuesday, paid a visit to the city’s Army forces on Wednesday morning.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran insists upon its rights,” he asserted, adding "We will not back down from our peaceful nuclear technology.”

The president stated "Our armed forces are always ready according to the deterrence and defensive strategy. Our armed forces seek peace. For peace to rule, the country needs capable, educated, powerful armed forces.”

He then said "In the sphere of politics, too, Iran seeks peace and will not violate anybody’s rights. But we will defend the country against the trespasser with all might. We will make the enemy regret his trespassing, because we are utterly intent upon defending our rights. We will not back down from our rights as much as one inch.”

"We talk of peaceful nuclear technology, no more and no less,” Rouhani asserted, adding "Within peaceful nuclear technology, we will not back down from whatever there is that is our right, which means nothing less than that. On the other hand we have not been, nor shall be, after nuclear arms, because that is our leader’s order and our country’s strategy, and that means not one word more.”
