Tehran, YJC. The Majlis is considering a draft which will define Iran’s needs in the nuclear section.

Principalists Parliamentary Group member Abolqasem Jarareh says a number of lawmakers are going to propose a draft where the country’s needs in the nuclear section will be defined, Mehr News Agency reports.

Pointing out that an article of the draft reads that Iran will have to do uranium enrichment as it needs; the lawmaker said "With this draft, the lawmakers intend to oblige the government to the needs that exist in this section. Right now our needs in the nuclear sphere are limited to the power plants, whereas that is only a small part of the whole deal and developed countries’ needs for enrichment in various sections are far beyond that. For example, by turning many projects nuclear, we can prevent air pollution in major cities; or in the agriculture section we can use nuclear capabilities to prevent the diseases that are caused by fertilizers.”

"The goal is with this draft to oblige the government to define the country’s needs in the nuclear section so that enrichment is carried out accordingly,” he asserted.

Further adding that Iran’s ocean-going vessels need to be provided with nuclear propelling power Jarareh said "For that we will need enrichment at the level at least of 65 percent.”

He added that lawmakers with expertise in nuclear, law, and economic fields are busy composing the draft and said "If the draft is passed it will become law and the government will have to enact it.”
