روز‌های یکم تا دهم محرم را دهه اول محرم می‌نامند و در این ۱۰ روز ایرانی‌ها و همینطور شیعیان در تمام نقاط دنیا به یاد امام حسین (ع) و ۷۲ تن از یاران باوفایش که در روز عاشورا در دشت کربلا به شهادت رسیدند؛ مراسم عزاداری و سوگواری برگزار می‌کنند.
روز نهم روز تاسوعا که متعلق به حضرت ابوالفضل (ع) است و روز دهم روز عاشورا است روزی که امام حسین (ع) و ۷۲ تن از یارانش به دست سپاهیان یزید به شهادت می‌رسند. در این دور عزاداری‌ها به اوج خود می‌رسد.
مراسم عزاداری ایام محرم از لنز دوربین شهروندخبرنگار‌های ما دور نماند و با ارسال فیلم و تصاویر آن را به اشتراک گذاشتند.
