An Iranian movie ‘Life and a Day’ is to be shown at US Portkland International Film Festival.
The film directed by Saeed Roustaie is to be showcased in the 40th edition of the event scheduled for February 9 to 25 in Oregon.
The film is to be shown on February 13.
'Life and a Day ', the debut feature from 26-year-old Saeed Roustaei, won prestigious NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asia Pacific Cinema) Award at Iranian Film Festival Australia in October 2016.
Life and a Day tells the story of a struggling family from South Tehran as they prepare to send their beloved daughter and sister, the glue in the family, to Afghanistan for an arranged marriage.
The film won the Audience award at Fajr Film Festival and nine further awards, including best director, best script, best actress Parinaz Izadyar, and best supporting actor Navid Mohammadzadeh.
