Tehran, YJC. The Iranian In separate letters congratulated them on Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary.
In his letters to his counterparts in Islamic world, President
Hassan Rouhani emphasized on the need for unity among Muslim states and nations;
"The Islamic world is burning in the flames of extremism and provocative acts which
are aimed at triggering tribal and religious strife.”
"Nonetheless, now enemies of Islam are presenting a
distorted and wrong representation of Islam which is a religion of peace and
against its holy prophet.”
The Iranian president further expressed hope that true
lovers of Islam would "Prepare the way for the prevalence of peace, justice,
progress and spirituality among Muslim people by following ethics and the teachings
of Prophet Muhammad and his moral values which were based on tolerance.”
