Thursday, 20 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Minister said the visit mad by President Raeisi to Moscow indicates the importance of the two country’s ties.
In a meeting with Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky on Thursday in Moscow, Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iranian President’s trip to Russia indicated the importance of the two country’s ties.
During the meeting, two sides discussed bilateral and parliamentary relations while putting emphasis on the cooperation between Iran and Russia.
“Iran and Russia’s outstanding relationships are on the way to becoming strategic,” Iranian FM said while pointing the importance of the visit made by President Raeisi.
For his part, Leonid Slutsky said that his country pays great attention to the expansion of strategic ties with Iran.
Amir-Abdollahian is in Moscow as part of the first visit of Iranian President to Russia and is also scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov today.
