Tuesday, 18 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that the visit that the three Iranian diplomats gave to S. Arabia was a good prelude to open embassies.
While saying the visit that the three Iranian diplomats gave to Saudi Arabia was a good point to start their work at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh describe this visit as a good prelude to open embassies.
“Three Iranian diplomats have arrived in Jeddah to start their work at the OIC,” Khatibzadeh said while describing that as a good prelude for the two sides to open embassies.
He went on to announce Iran’s readiness to open its embassy in Saudi Arabia.
Prior to this on Saturday, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Jalil Rahimi Jahan-Abadi announced that relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are being revived.
Before that, in an interview with Al Jazeera Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced that Iran and Saudi Arabia had four rounds of positive and constructive talks in Iraq and the ties between the two are going to be normal.
