Wednesday, 20 October 2021 (YJC)_ An Iranian Army Air Force Commander announced that the forces will hold a drill called ‘Modafe’an Aseman-e Velayat 1400’ on Thursday.
The Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi announced on Wednesday that the forces will hold a drill called ‘Modafe’an Aseman-e Velayat 1400’ on Thursday.
“Reflecting part of the capabilities of the Iranian Air Force and using a variety of aircraft are the aims of these exercises,” Gen. Vahedi said.
“In this drill all kinds of indigenous and upgraded systems and weapons, including heavy and semi-heavy smart bombs, all kinds of laser, television, thermal, radar missiles, rockets, and bombs produced by the specialists of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics and the self-sufficiency of the Army Air Force will be used,” he added.
Earlier Last week, a large-scale aerial drill has started by Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) with the aim of enhancing preparedness for defending the country’s skies in the central desert areas of Iran.
That was the operational phase of the joint large-scale drill, which codenamed Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat 1400 (Defenders of Velayat Skies 1400).
At that time Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami said that IRGC Aerospace Force and the Iranian Army’s Air and Air Defense Forces are fully equipped with modern defense technology.
