Tuesday, 7 September 2021 (YJC)_ A top military aide to the Supreme Leader said the country should keep the enemy’s movement away and the defense forces should destroy any movement in his regard.
During his speech in a meeting to discuss “Operation Kaman 99” conducted by the Iranian Air Force against the Saddam regime in the early days of the Iraqi Saddam regime-imposed war on Iraq in 1980, a top military aide to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said the country should keep the enemy’s movement away and the defense forces should destroy any movement in his regard.
“We should conduct our defense strategy on the fact that in case of any enemy wanted to move towards our country from 3,000 km radius from Tehran, we should be able to destroy them at the beginning,” Rahim Safavi said.
He went on to say that the Iranian defense depth must be 3,000 km radius from Tehran while noting that “We need a strong air force that can cover this distance.”
Finally, Leader’s top military aide said “In West Asia we can be number one in terms of power and in order to achieve this we must have strong armed forces. Strong army and IRGC will be the guardians of this nation.”
