Saturday, 20 June_On Friday, Palestinian resistance movement Hamas organized a rally in the Gaza Strip against Israel’s plan to begin annexing parts of the occupied West Bank.
Palestinians took part in the rally following Friday prayers to condemn the move. Participants, including political figures, expressed their total rejection of the annexation plan which is in line with the Trump Administration’s so-called deal of the century.
In his speech, the spokesperson of Hamas said that deals, including the Oslo accord and the so-called deal of the century will not decide the future of Palestine. Palestinians have rejected the annexation plan which they say would destroy any hopes for establishing a Palestinian state.
The say the plan violates international law. Palestinians are also calling for international pressure to stop Israel from seizing the areas of the Palestinian territory where illegal Israeli settlements are located.
The land grabbing in the west bank is another tragedy for Palestinians as it shows that Israel is implementing the so-called deal of the century on the ground. Palestinians say they won't sit idly by, while Israel is choosing conflict over peace by annexing parts of the West Bank.
