TEHRAN, Sept 14 - Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education said the country will get self-sufficient in producing the medicines it needs
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Saeed Namaki said with 1200 knowledge-based companies, Iran is going to manufacture the whole medicines it needs within the coming three years.
Saeed Namaki noted that 97 percent of the country is produced domestically.
Despite the sanction pressures imposed on Iran by the US and its allies and with all the difficulties for importing medicine, Iran has been totally successful in manufacturing and importing medicine.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved great success in the last 40 years in medicine and healthcare so that today it is considered a major destination for medical tourists who come to Iran for treatment.
