TEHRAN, May 16 - A political commentator says the American public does not want their country to be dragged by the Israel lobby into a war with Iran but may see that scenario pan out nevertheless.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In an interview with Press TV on Thursday, E. Michael Jones said the Israel lobby was pushing the US into another war in the Middle East.
“The American people do not want another war in the Middle East and yet, once again, the country is being pushed into war” by the Israel lobby, Jones said.
The United States has recently ratcheted up tensions with Iran by, among other things, sending a strike group to the Persian Gulf. Iran has warned that it is not after war but is prepared to defend itself.
