Tehran, YJC. As with every year, Iranians are celebrating the day the Islamic Revolution gained victory over the previous ruling power.

The public gathering for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Republic has started since 9:00 in the morning.

Public spaces are identified for the public to gather around in each city.

In Tehran, Azadi Square is as always the destination for people coming either by themselves or as arranged by organizations.

President Rouhani is to deliver a speech to the crowd toward noon.

Along the routs defined for the crowd to move toward the final square there are seen police cars and fire engines overseeing circumstances, Mehr News Agency reports.

Groups here and there are changing anti-US mottos.

The Coordinating Council of the Revolution says 2500 reporters are covering the event inside the country, 270 of which represent foreign news sources.
